Kids' Interactive Drumming Session
The Drum Cafe's Kids' Interactive Drumming Session (K.I.D.S.™) is a captivating learning experience, designed specifically for children from kindergarten through 7th grade.
The program expertly weaves elements of geography, social studies, language arts, and mathematics together with an engaging and interactive performance that is nothing less than thrilling.
And, everybody gets a drum! Yes, every child gets a drum! Whether you have 20 or 700 young people, we provide a drum for each child, which lends to the power of the kinesthetic learning experience.
Children learn about (and play) the Djembe Drum from West Africa, while understanding what's needed to create a community rhythm in cooperation with each other. In fact, the program speaks directly to the power of listening, and of demonstrating respect through this cooperative effort.
Along with relevant, academic curriculum learning, the K.I.D.S. ™ program includes the most important ingredient in all successful children's experiences: FUN! Time and again, teachers and administrators compliment the program, noting how amazed they were to see the children focused for the entire program.

Each engagement/program covers up to 700 students (split into 2 sessions)
Approx 50 minutes in duration per session
Each child gets their own drum to play!
The program integrates Geography, Math, and Social Studies

The Drum Cafe Faculty & Staff TeamBuilding Program
The role of teachers goes beyond the realm of academics. Teachers are models of healthy cooperation and team synergy; this sometimes speaks louder then academic teaching techniques. Teachers need quality time focused on team development. The strength and cooperative ability of the teaching team does wonders for alleviating stress and enhancing school community sprit. Happy teachers; happy school!
Corporate organizations spend thousands of dollars a year on team development to ensure their organizations run effectively, with positive buy-in and commitment from employees. This experiential, session does the same for school faculty, while keeping the context of school and teachers at heart. The program format is similar to the Drum Cafe corporate program, but with a specail focus for schools.
